The workshop, kiln and firewood are all the result of manual labor. 'We place great importance on preparation, as well as our relationship with the mountains' says Mr Naoki Izumi, who is true to traditional Echizen-yaki processes and a fan of the traditional lifestyle. His pottery is crafted with great regard for tradition, but in fact very modern. His pieces are inspired by nature.
